It would be an incredibly shortsighted move to remove an amenity that serves thousands of users and visitors every week. The current ice rink, even though it is in dire need of upgrading, still brings in people from all over the county. A new facility will put basingstoke on the map and provide a proud home the hugely supported Basingstoke Bisons team and all the current users.

This building is more than bricks, mortar and a sheet of ice. Its a place that changed my life and made Basingstoke my home.
It connects generations and has given so many happy memories to so many people. To allow this to disappear would be an absolute
travesty and would kill the dreams and aspirations of many young (& old) athletes in the town. Every thing should be done to secure
the future of this ice rink to ensure we are not missing out on the next Anthony Page or Torvill & Dean. Tony Redmond ( 14 seasons Basingstoke Bison)

It offers so much to so many and sets Basingstoke apart from other towns without a rink.

I have been in the sport for over 20 years and keep seeing them go. It's a integral part to a young child's life it keeps them of the streets at weekends and and also keeps them fit and active.

I'm a disabled adult, and my condition means that I struggle to find exercise I can do. Discovering figure skating has already doubled my mobility and strength in a few months. To lose the rink would be a vast problem for my health.

I have played ice hockey in the women league for twenty years mostly in Streatham in London. My first ever game when I was a beginner at Oxford University was against Basingstoke and I have been coming to the rink ever since about once a year. It would be terrible of the rink closed, or is an important part of the UK ice hockey ecology, as well as a local facility.

This rink has always been busy and holds key teams to represent Basingstoke. I’ve brought many work colleagues to this rink to watch these teams and they’ve then visited many times after. It should stay!!!

We have known this ice rink ever since we moved to Basingstoke for the best part of the last decade. It is part of life to many people and it would be very sad to miss such a place and Bisons.

The ice rink has been part of the community and my own personal life for many years, its loss would affect so many families in and around the area and the hockey is supported by a very loyal fan base. Basingstoke needs an ice rink without doubt

It is very important for the sport to keep open as many independent rinks as possible. Otherwise this country will never see anywhere near the success that Torvill and Dean has.

Played out of this rink for 6 years, should be sorted out and kept going
