This ring is a piece of my childhood. Watching ice hockey from the age of 6 months. With out the rink Basingstoke will lose a massive part history and culture that made it THE place to go.
My mum Alison Woods and the fans fought to save the Bison 20 years ago and won so don't let all that history past to present disappear.

More people support Basingstoke Bison than the Basingstoke football team, the council were prepared to give them money for a new stadium. HELP THIS TEAM and all the people who use the rink, we need it

I learned to skate there. I skate there every week. Its a social hub, people make friends there. It builds community and the council should support it.

Ice hockey pulls in more Basingstoke spectators than football or rugby.
So many hockey and other skating clubs, and leisure users, use the rink, that the demand for the facility is blindingly obvious for anyone who cares to look.
A new facility is desperately needed, whether or not the rest of the Leisure Park redevelopment goes ahead. Well run and properly maintained it could and should be a magnificent asset to the town.

I skated here when I was a child, I now get to take my two children and watch them skate. It’s fun, it’s exercise, it gets them meeting new people. It’s been a part of Basingstoke for so long, it should not be closed.
