No ice rink should be closed without a replacement in mind. There are too few facilties in the UK as it is. Basingstoke needs the Bisons and The Bisons need a rink.

I have visited Basingstoke Ice Rink on many occasions as a Nottingham Panthers fan. On each visit I'm always impressed at a) the warm reception offered those who've travelled to Basingstoke, and b) the level of support home fans gave to their team which made it feel a very tight-knit community. Whilst the two teams are no longer in the same league, Basingstoke should continue to play an important part in UK ice hockey, so I support calls to save your local rink. Good luck!

Keep Basingstoke open, people travel from as far as Dorset to use this facility!

Please bring the ice rink up to standard and keep it open. It is a huge part of the leisure park and should be included in the whole redevelopment.

My family have been ice hockey supporters for years and are devastated that the rink has been let get into such a state that it needs so much maintenance

This is a great resource for the community. Stop making every town a generic copy of the next. The ice rink is a great resource for leisure and sports for the next generation.

Ice hockey is the number one sport in Basingstoke, surely it is worth the investment. Make a rink worthy of the Elite league and the fans will come.

I thought the country wanted more people to get involved in sport and encourage young people to take part in sports activities instead of sitting at home online, eating unhealthy food? We don‘t need any more shops or badly designed housing estates.

We support bison and buffalo and thoroughly enjoy skating.
