Don't let this go!! Both my grandchildren use this for skating and ice hockey and achieve incredible pleasure, commitment and dedication to their chosen disciplines as many others do to. Please reconsider any negative decisions on maintaining the rink open. We all know there are cutbacks required in a lot of council budgets, lets look somewhere else, if that is required here!

Please keep the ice rink open. Everyone goes on about obesity these days and if the rink is closed then what about those people who use it? Where will they go to do the sports of their choice?

Have played hockey here and have coached junior teams that have played here. We need to keep this open for the sport to survive.

I watch basingstoke bison every home game it would be a shame if there was not enough rink i also skate there a lot

As a child, I was devastated when my local ice rink in Ayr closed along with the Pro and Junior Ice Hockey teams folding. Certainly wouldn't wish that on any of the kids involved with the Junior Bison.

Let’s keep diversity in sport and provide facilities for families to socialise and enjoy sport. I’ve Hockey doesn’t get enough recognition in this country and closing yet another rink will impact greatly. Let’s give our children choices beyond football to keep fit.

I think it's a complete disgrace that the Basingstoke are considering shutting the ice rink. Experts go on about kids and people not getting excersize and then you go and blatantly shut some thing that has been used for years that serves just that purpose. Get a grip!

Every town, every City should have an ice rink, don't be like my city, Birmingham that doesn't. Working in Ice Hockey i've seen how teams can bring communities together, seen how it encourages young kids to excersize and learn the value of team sports, i and thousands of others have enjoyed our time in Basingstoke and hope the building continues to draw us to your area, David Simms
