This area was intended to be a sports area, promoting the government's drive to ensure a healthier nation. The BDBC now seems to just be treating it as a commercial asset to strip with little if any concern about the community it is supposed to represent.

I use the Ice Rink frequently as it’s the easiest one to get to from Winchester where I live, I’m also friends with several “hockey mums” and I would hate to see their little ones be deprived of opportunity to play for Bisons Junior Team

It’s imperative the rink remains only. Vital facility for the community. We as a family use the rink to skate on and what the Bisons. It’s desperatley needs investment

We do not need any more retail parks in Basingstoke. The purpose of the leisure park is just that and the ice-rink should remain part of it.

Basingstoke should not be losing the ice rink, the leisure park development should have the emphasis on leisure not retail. The development should create a leisure venue that is an asset to the town, this is not a money making exercise.

I have been a citizen of Basingstoke for almost 24 years, I have taken lessons and supported the Bison many times at the Ice Rink and belive it is what helps make Basing unique as the closest rink to us is Bracknel and slough! Closing and not renewing with the new development (Which I am all for) would be a major mistake!

We need to keep this facility, both my children used it and we need to keep the range of different activities Basingstoke is known for

When I am in Basingstoke I always cut some shapes at the local rink. It would be a shame to lose the old place.

Facilities like this are critical to the local community. To encourage excercise, wellness and healthy living. They are also the site where people come together, practice as teams, achieve at sport and achieve their potential. The IOW has sadly lost theirs after a well fought battle. Don't let this happen to the Basingstoke area.
