Basingstoke’s ice rink is not just a sports facility—it's a lifeline for many. It fosters friendships, nurtures mental and physical health, and provides a space where people of all ages come together to pursue their passions.

I started using the ice rink recently and love going there regularly. It would be a huge shame to lose it now.

Used the rink for over 15 years and have traveled up to 25 minutes to get there each time, it’s my closest rink. I have played hockey in the past and been a Bison supporter and watched many games. Please don’t let the town & the U.K. lose an ice rink and Ice Hockey team.

We need a ice rink in Basingstoke to see the Basingstoke Bison and for our local community.

The ice rink must stay. The town needs an elite sports team which we had in the Bison.

My brother has just rediscovered his love of ice hockey having not long joined the older/senior team. This news is very concerning, given Bracknell has lost their ice rink, and Richmond-upon-Thames lost theirs decades ago. I completely agree that ice rinks provide a focus for communities, both through the teams associated with them and as facilities enabling a fun way of becoming active. It would be a tragedy for another icerink to disappear.

This is our local now that Bracknell is closed. It would be very sad to lose a local ice hockey team and a facility. It is a community facility for young and old, whether skating or watching

A must have for Basingstoke, whether it's the Bisons or a social skate the rink sets us apart from all other local towns and cities. We have been let down by the lack of TLC provided to the building from the landlord.

This ice rink is a vital part of children’s well being developing skills and discipline that will take them forward to adulthood it also serves many adults as a recreational activity that is hard to find

Please keep the ice rink, my cousin has learnt from scratch there and now competes, it would be a real shame to see it go.

My daughter recently started 1-2-1 figure skating lessons with Rachel and has progressed so much since she started, so much so that she completed her first skating competition at Planet Ice Basingstoke earlier this month. She has grown in confidence and fitness and is so keen to continue. Without our local Ice Rink we just couldn't achieve this.
