There is no reason to move the Amtrak- station. The majority of the passengers who are using it now will be the ones who will be most inconvenienced and will suffer a hardship.

I have twins attending college in northern va. They are freshmen and not allowed to bring their vehicle so their means of getting back and forth is Amtrak. I have had surgery and have to have one maybe two more which on my hip therefore I am not able to drive. My family and friends all live in the Matoaca/Ettrick area which is within the same area as the Amtrak in Petersburg. This station would be very convenient for my children to be able to get a ride home. Please keep the station in Petersburg.

This train provides services for many individuals who do not own vehicles to attend their destination safely when there are not many options with buses. Closing this station would be devastating!
