I'm a new hire at Acacia Elementary for the 5th grade. I chose to work at Acacia over other teaching positions because I believe in what Acacia is attempting to do and succeeding in doing, which is providing a quality education for under-privileged kids.

We need more schools open and more teachers for our kids
Less kids in a class learn focus more than 33 in a class were te teacher is taller to see all these kids and can't help them

I strongly believe that closing our school is not in the best interest of the students. Justice Thurgood Marshall said it best: “None of us got where we are solely by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps. We got here because somebody — a parent, a teacher, an Ivy League crony, or a few nuns — bent down and helped us pick up our boots.” At Acacia, we are the people who push these kids to their full potential. Please do not take that away from them. I implore you to keep our doors open and keep the dreams of so many alive. Yes, my job is important as an educator but having a school the kids can call home is far more important. I feel extremely hopeful and anticipating a promising future for our scholars here at Acacia Elementary Charter School. Thank you for your time and consideration.

My granddaughter attends this school, and they have really helped her with her special needs ... they just got her situated and feeling comfortable with her daily routine!!! Please do what you can to keep this school open ... thank you
