Keep Ms Waters with Ocean Air/DMUSD , for the success of various Science Programs at Ocean Air

Mrs. Waters’ contribution to Ocean Air is unparalleled!! She is a vital component to the school learning experience.

It is clear that an abrupt release of Ms Waters would devastate the science curriculum at Ocean Air. How and why the district seeks do this is unbelievable to all parents as can be observed by the outpouring of families support to not lose her. Since ultimately families support the steam plus programs we believe their desires for their children should be heard. If indeed there are concerns regarding the science aspect of steam their should have rather been directed as constructive comments to Ms Waters, not the abrupt release the district has undertaken.

My kids are in 1st and 3rd grade. They both love science class. My 3rd grader told me the science class is getting more and more interesting. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Ms. Waters and the Science Olympiad, Science field day, and other activities she organized. These are definitely among those which make Ocean Air special and stand out from all other schools. I wish my kids could have chance to participate all these activities in the coming grades. It will be really sad if we lose such a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced teacher. Please keep her!

Mrs Waters has been my kids teacher for the past 10+ years.... Even though my daughter is not in ocean air school Ishe keeps coming back to her elementary school every year to share her love for science......she continues to shine whenever she goes as the love of science she developed at am young age had stayed with her ...my son in ocean air school loves science so much that he ended my participating in many events like science Olympiad, Future Problem Solving and First Lego league and went to state and won medals.....all the hi wouldn't have happy without Mrs.Waters encouragement and positivity. My kids learned to understand the facts and share their knowledge with other kids. Infact our family volunteered to teach 2critical SO events. I am very positive that we wouldn't have done it if it were not for Mrs.Waters. We see her serve with passion and the same we tried to imitate in our lives. Not sure what your reason for making her move but it is a very bad and sad decision which is going to make ocean air families suffer. Please reconsider....she is a great teacher as can well as a silent leader. THE OA school needs her for what she is. We love her.

I have known Ms. Waters an excellent teacher throughout the 7 years that my son Schuyler had been at Ocean Air. I had been a parent volunteer in her classroom for several years and was a Science Olympiad coach, so I have observed Ms. Waters in her work. She is so organized, creative, hard working, and dedicated to providing the best and most well-rounded science education for all students at Ocean Air. She puts a lot of energy in her work to inspire students. She is an excellent educator and a great asset to STEAM education at Ocean Air.

Please keep Ms Water、 she is a great great teacher and OA won’t achieve that much SO rewards without her countless effort

Mrs Waters is truly a passionate and dedicated teacher. As a parent volunteer, I witnessed her spending countless hours in organizing SO and Science Field Day. This is all beyond her regular duty as a science teacher. Her enthusiasm in science has influenced and inspired many students to love science. It will be a huge loss for OA if she cannot return next year.

It would be great if the decision is reverted and keep Ms Waters at Ocean Air. She has shown a great track record on Science Olympiad. And all students and parents in ocean air are proud of our challenge and achievement for Science Olympiad.

Please reconsider the decision and we want Ms. Waters back in Ocean Air because the school will never be the same without her. We have been doing great in the Science Olympiad, which could not be possible without Ms, Waters' devotion.

I was working with Mrs Waters to coordinate the 2017-2018 SO events. She worked countless hours after the office hours to plan, organize the coach and student schedule, coordinate with invitation, regional and state competition and most important, prepare and motivate the kids for these events. Ocean Air is well known for SO. The students from Ocean Air has been outperformed in middle school SO events. The success of SO in Ocean Air and performance of Ocean Air students (even after graduated) in SO are due to the contribution from Mrs Wafers. I could not imagine how Ocean Air will continue the SO without her. We sincerely hope that Ocean Air will re-consider and keep her with Ocean Air.

As a Science Olympiad volunteer parent, I have witnessed Ms. Waters dedication to the students learning of Science. I support Ms. Waters.

Ms. Waters is an excellent Science teacher and a great asset to the Ocean Air School. Her tireless efforts and dedication to the numerous Science programs she ran at Ocean Air has helped countless students develop an interest and passion for Science.

Why on earth would anybody discontinue Mrs Waters? This is completely uncalled for!

I'm a former Ocean Air student. Mrs. Waters has been very dedicated to the school and has led Ocean Air to win several medals in Science Olympiad. Without her, Science Olympiad will never be the same. It would be very sad to see her go.
