Forum, MABONA KUDE HERITAGE SOCIETY, Rasta Indaba, Kathorus Kgotso
Tourism Forum & Ekurhuleni Tourism and Heritage Association petition the
Council and ask for (Involvement of any planning and decision making regarding
Keditselane Cultural Village).
We as the above bodies we see it fit that the local LTO needs to be part of
planning and development of the Cultural Village because their work is aligned
with the objectives of Cultural and Heritage Objectives in terms of
* product development and marketing
* Integrated rural tourism development strategies.
We believe involving who are hands on need to be part in order for keeping the
village sustainable by also offering them an office and being part of the board.

The focus of our ongoing work remains the integration of local tourism organizations into the development strategy for the Keditselane Cultural Village. We are currently preparing a formal memorandum to outline the specific benefits of including these stakeholders in the planning board.

The steady growth of this petition signifies a growing collective consensus regarding the future of the Keditselane Cultural Village. This momentum confirms that our community expects a seat at the table during the planning stages. We will carry this energy forward as we continue to advocate for local involvement in our heritage development.

SA remains an economically divided country with the majority of SAns unable to participate in the formal economy. Moreso, with the adverse impact of COVID-19 on the economy, supporting the revamp of the cultural village, would pave the way to mitigate this impact while making in-roads to mitigate the exclusion of the majority population from the economy in the long term, particularly in the tourism sector.
I would like a village remaining a village,the problem that made village not successful is because on plan they didn't like people who have knowledge of village life style to live on the village,village is made by people living village live style,
The residents has a right to be part of the board because they will add value to Ditselane as they understand the area far better.Such if the decision are taken it will be best for the society.
I was the a week ago, I saw people cutting down trees for fire wood, this is unacceptable this place needs to be protected.
The village is of paramount importance to the livelihood of an Afrikan Child, if you care enough about this HereAndNow-Generation and the coming generation, the village MUST be Brought Back To LIFE! Hare bolokeng le ho boulella Botjhaba ba rona and make our Greatest Ancestor-Baba Credo Mutwa rejoice in the Spirit World.Keya leboha!Ase'

Our communities need to be exposed to cultural experience through music,art and stories told by it's own community without travelling far or being taught our own cultures by different cultures.Also promoting local artists an boosting local livelihoods.
