Make Kansas City a Sanctuary City for Gender Affirming Care

Please let Kansas City stay a safe place to live for all my trans and gender nonconforming friends. They do not deserve to become refugees in their current homes. Protect trans lives from those who have no regard for any kind of human life, despite their deluded claims.

People of all gender identities should feel safe to be themselves without persecution by a radical minority that seeks to criminalize the act of being alive.

Kansas City has been my home for my entire life. I love this city & its communities. I began my transition from male to female almost a year ago, & I was at first terrified to expose that choice to the public. But, once I managed the courage to do so, the KC community that I have known for so long welcomed me with open arms & without question. Kansas City is a city of neighbors, of friends, and a collective family that we all belong to. Let Kansas City shine as a bastion of peace, tolerance, and acceptance; to be a positive example to onlookers elsewhere in this great country of ours and beyond. Anything less would be in direct contradiction to the values that we hold as citizens of this city and of the Midwest. ope.

I don't want to lose my son because he had to leave the area to be able to live happily with the girl he loves because of gender affirming care not being a protected right

I love my city and the people here but I can't stay here with my girlfriend if gender affirming care isn't protected

Kansas City is our home. We belong here.
