I have spent all day emailing the city commissioners to make sure they understand that these existing rules are enough to keep our beach safe. Watching this community rally for our right to enjoy a drink on the sand makes me feel less alone in this fight.

Seeing this level of support reminds me that so many others view our beach traditions the same way I do. It feels good to know I am not fighting for these sunsets alone.

Keep our freedoms. Sunset Beach is one of the last places you can actually enjoy yourself without someone breathing down your neck.
Whatever happened to personal responsibility. Fine the people acting like idiots but dont punish the rest of us.
Total overreach. Stop trying to control everything we do.
DONT BAN THE BEER!!! Treasure Island would lose so much business if people cant have a drink on the sand.

Ridiculous to change this now. Been coming here for years and never have issues. Just enforce the current rules
