At the Canadian Border Patrol office in Vancouver, BC I was told that this is the way CANADA treats AMERICANS! I was beside myself. We never want to put a colour to this type of treatment as we are all part of one. The point is that Canadian born citizens and American born citizens have been mistreated by their very own government. Thank you so much for signing our petition. Please share it.

A big Thank you to The Canadian Human Rights International Organization. Richard was never given an opportunity for a hearing and I was not allowed to see him until he was sent to the border. In fact, it was like being in a zoo at the Canadian Border Patrol Office on West Georgia Street in Vancouver. The reception would send me up the 16th floor, then on the 16th floor, they had no idea who Richard was. They sent me back to the 7th floor only to be sent back up to the 16th floor...No one had Richard's name in the system! It was a nightmare. I then finally had to wait 3 hours to speak with Duty Counsel. At 3:30pm I found out through her that they have decided to deport Richard, I was beside myself. This decision came from a "Minister".

Richard Smolock should be given a hearing to allow himself and his family to bring forward their case and at least have an opportunity to express their concerns and the circumstances revolving around the case.
