Yes, the entire "justice" system needs to be overhauled. I don't think one judge out there actually reads anything related to the cases before him, let alone that this may be someone's first offense. The attorneys are the ones that decide the fate of any individual arrested for a crime, and the "Public Pretenders" are the worst. Justice for Justin!

I just recently read an article on Louisiana and their need to feed their correctional facilities. The laws in that state are creating more of a burden then working on the issue of reform.1

This is an exact replica of my only child convicted under the felony/murder rule in California 4 years ago. Would you please contact me at my email address: [email protected]? Please let's join forces to repeal this law in all 46 states that use it.

If every American Citizen would stand up and fight for better laws and justice we will be heard. After all the American people are the ones who vote people into office. So if we can be heard that way we can be heard in making our country a better place to live, let's change laws, let's change the people in current office and put in those who really can make a positive difference for us all.

The Justice System needs a complete overhaul in every State. It is ridiculous some of the laws in the US. I live in Canada and my son is doing 14 yrs for a couple bad decisions he made; In Canada he probably wouldn't have gotten any time, because our system has a heart and know that kids sometimes do stupid things.

Why give a man a life sentence if he did not commit the crime.
