My son is also under a mandatory sentence, he was in a deadly car accident, and now he is serving 8 years without good time. He is losing precious years with his 2 year old daughter.
Mandatory sentences are not necessary in every situation!

He's not a bad person. He made a bad choice. I've made many and I could've easily been in his position. These laws are insane.

I hope you become a free man. Finished watching "Serving Life" and the punishment is severe for someone who didn't actually do the act. I pray for your freedom Justin you've done enough time in my opinion. GOD BLESS

Most of the time I feel that if you do the crime, then you should do the time. I also think that most of the time the legal system is too lenient. Having said all of that, I believe that the punishment is too severe for this crime. Justin definitely used poor judgement by being with the types of people who would commit murder....but, he didn't kill anyone yet he is serving a sentence like he had. I think he has served more than enough time for being an accessory after the fact & not having any knowledge beforehand of what would happen. I think he would be an asset to the community where he lived & his story perhaps could influence others who need to be making better life decisions.
