This is cruel and unjustified! He didn't comment the crime him self and all he should serve is a 5-6 year sentise. Life without possible parole is wrong!

I've seen the documentary “Serving Life” and without a doubt in my mind. I think that Justin Granier should be freed, he's an innocent man serving life for something he did not commit. He may have been at the scene of the crime but he did not pull the trigger. This is injustice for a well mannered, sympathetic, handsome man that could be having a beautiful future outside of prison walls.

I believe that Justin should be released! Praying for Justin, his continue faith in the Lord and his family. I found the documentary serving life on Netflix and was so captivated by the strength and the compassion of the men givibg back and Justins name stayed with me and I decided to find him on Facebook. Glad I did. God bless,

I commend the Warden Burl Cain. He is so very humane .
I am a 58 year old women and have sons older than Justin. This young man needs to be released . Shame on you State of Louisiana!

Praying for God to take this matter into his own hands, and for Justin to get to live a life outside of prison and to share his compassion with others as it is so needed in this world we live in.

I believe justins case is a perfect example of injustice. One cannot control anothers actions. With all the recent legislature passed inn louisiana in the Last seven years or so for non-violent offenders to serve shorter sentences due to louisiana's high incarceration, certainly there should also have bills passed for cases like justin's. 95% of all crime is drug related. Which happens to be why he was present the day of his alleged crime. Should one be faulted for murder for having a drug addiction?
Justin, need not worry my friend, you will be exhonerated. I am sure. Stay humble and keep up all the good work. You will need all the same tools as a free man.

LA sentences should be re-evaluated. Money used to fund prison sentences for first time offenders who did NOT commit a crime could be put to better use - like education!

Clearly, the Louisiana Laws are flawed and in desperate need of updating. I pray Justin is able to get a second chance. I know he will be a productive and influential member of society.

I was not good friends with Justin, I meet him through one poo f my friends. Mitchell Landry. I hung out with him a few times. When I found out he went to jail for murder I was in shock. This guy did not know me but he was a cool guy. He was not rude. We got along well. He did not seem like a killer. Mitchell told me his story. He did not pull the trigger or did not want to be in that situation. But he still got murder. Sad story. Ive told this sad story for years. I know the guy who pulled the trigger. The real murder. That guy has always been a criminal. He was a real asshole. Not cool and as nice as Justin. To me it was obvious who did the murder. Growing up in gonzales, every teen was friends with someone who were considered thugs or criminals. Because they were always around. And was considered cool. I was friends with them and now as a adult, I have nothing to do with them. What im saying is Justin being friends with these guys don't mean he is like them. Im sure if he never was locked up he would have been like me now. I know he would have nothing to do with them.
