There is no reason a healthy young man should spend his life behind bars for being a witness to a crime.

Volunteered for Ohana Ho'opakale, "We support the mission of 'Ohana Ho'opakele (To Rescue the Family) in establishing Pu'uhonua (Decentralized Wellness Centers - residential and non-residential ) on all islands as an alternative to building more prisons. Pu'uhonua are places open to all, not just Kanaka Maoli, where the traditional ho'opono'pono process of making right will be used to help heal individuals, families, and communities. We believe Pu'uhonua centers are for the good of all Hawai'i's people and can provide real hope in saving money, reducing recidivism, crime prevention, and long-term positive change."

I am watching Serving Life and there is no way you can be a cold hearted and distant person while working with the people who are dying! Justin openly admits that what he did was wrong and he lives with the image of the boy who was killed to remind himself of what he's done. But in no way should he have to serve a life sentence without parole for a crime he never actually committed! He should be freed to live a life outside of prison!

I have always been involved in the criminal justice system. And always want to learn about either side. I pray for good and hope my support helps.

While visiting some friends tonight I was scrolling the TV for us something to watch while dinner. Well I found the perfect thing!! On OWN's networ. Angola Prison allowing these men to help and commit to such an intense program. I laughed and cried all in an hour. I want to talk about the Justin Granier kid though. I'm very curious. But I will vote. Thanks Kim Whaley

If being dumb for one second meant life,there wouldnt be enough jails in the world for us-being smart means taking that dumb second and having kindness and maturity beyond your years shine through in a place where darkness could be turned to easily.I wish you the best-and your fellow volunteers and patients.xo KLP

Well, i'm Buffye. The reason why i am signing this petition is because I have recently watched "Serving Life" and it really touched my heart, and god allowed me to sign this petition for his innocent angel, Justin Granier. I hope an pray that he is blessed with a second chance at freedom outside prison walls, given a second chance with family, and love beyond the walls. I don't know Justin personally, but I believe he is truelly innocent. I keep him in my prayers.
