This man has turned his life around for the better. He has been blessed with the opportunity to change mentally and spiritually. As a Christian I beleive that people can turn their life from the inherent negativity, and use what they have as a change of themselves, or others. Jesus forgives.

It is hard to believe that a state can be so harsh. He is serving time for something he did not do, nor knew he was participating in. He gets the same sentence as a serial killer??? Something is screwed up in this state!! FREE JUSTIN

Please free Justin! He has paid the price for any involvement he had in what he's incarcerated for! He didn't kill anyone, he didn't shoot anyone. The laws are stiff and unfair in Louisiana and are not harsh enough in some other parts of the United States for people that actually DO kill someone. I'm not saying people shouldn't have any punishment. I'm just saying the time should fit the crime. A person that didn't kill anyone themselves should have a chance at parole. Especially if they are a model prisoner and have used that time for reflection, serving the needs of others, and are remorseful for any involvement. These are the qualities Justin possesses and I feel it would be a real shame I he didn't get the chance to do some good outside of life in prison. I believe he is genuinely a good guy that at 19 was with the wrong crowd. He's older and wiser now. Free Justin Granier!!!

I was very sad by your story I did see the program and am horrified at the sentence that you received. Clearly that can happen to anyone even me a very law abiding citizen can happen to anyone. I've seen cases even here even friends that have gotten the same amount of time because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and scared scared scared to say anything. I can also see the law (police) side of it. I think that you would be great to society with all that you have accomplished and I'm signing this petition in hopes it helps I will also tell all of my friends and post it on my Facebook to help you receive the goal of signatures that you deserve.
