As bad as I felt for the inmates shown in Serving Life, despite their crimes, Justin really stood out for me. He should never have been locked up. He seems like such a charming young man with so much potential to succeed in life! God bless him and his family.

His sentence does seem harsh. It is not like he was a career criminal - he should not have been imprisoned like one. I hope this petition helps. I believe that Justin is a good man and he no longer deserves to be in jail.

I am currently enrolled in a criminology program in Nova Scotia and learning about sentencing etc., and just watched Justin on Serving Life.
It is completely mind blowing to me the way the legal system works in the United States and I believe that Justin should most definitely be released from prison and does not deserve to be incarcerated, especially for life.

I watched with great interest, Serving Life, and like everyone else, was completely shocked by his story and moved by his spirit. He seems like a truly incredible man who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hoping he is decarcerated!

Louisiana laws suck unwashed 17 yrs old caught a weed charge first offence 1yr in prison then in 1992 I was in the wrong place at the wrong time got 11 yrs n double billed.. So so sad I left my 1 and a half year behind N a 8 mnth old my mother passed away would not let me go its a shame

How many days til the appeal and the petition gets reviewed ? If their is anything i can do physicaly or anywhere i can go to b part of his voice to represent justin.
