Life behind bars without the possibility of parole for a first time offender, whose role in the crime was minimal, is cruel and unusual punishment, in my opinion! Especially when we, the public are bombarded with stories of people committing heinous crimes all across the United States and only end up serving a very minimal amount of years and then they're back out on the streets! I truly believe that Justin deserves a second chance at freedom! I think that he would be a productive member of our society and I hope with all my heart that he is given the chance to prove that!

I do believe it is completely irrational to send someone to prison for Not killing someone. Where is the logic. Anyone can find themselves in bad situations and that mistake should not send them to prison for life. Justin did not take a life, why is his being taken?

I don't know what to say. I'm still in a state of confusion. ... here we are in the state of Louisiana where corruption runs at will in our judicial system. The DA has too much power and protection which gives them open avenues to do as they want without respect for humanity.
Justin is a victim not the criminal in this situation. I pray for some day soon for a voice to arise to clean this mess up and give justice to those that deserve.
