This young man's charge was/is an over kill. He did not pull the trigger. He's done his time, now let him show the world that he is a changed man.

My sister went through something similar she was charged with 1st degree murder and was supposed to get life and by the grace of god she served 8 yrs. My prayers are going out to Justin and his family .

Not only is this unconstitutional, it is no Christian either. We must try to look for the value in Justin and allow him a chance to prove he is rehabilitated.

It is time for this man to be free. He has served 15 years for a crime he didn't commit. He has done more with his life behind bars then a lit of people do on the outside. If given a chance he could be a contributing member of society and maybe help keep a few kids from making the same mistakes he made.

From the facts that were presented to me I'd say he has served more than enough time for the role he played in the crime mentioned. I agree he should be given the chance to live a better life out in the real world, & he shouldn't be forced to live out the remainder of his days locked up among rapist & first degree murderers who actually did the murder themselves, with their bare hands. Thats the type of ppl I'd like to stay off the streets but Justin isn't that type of person at all.

My name is Corey Eshleman and I know Justin very well. I (like Justin) am not a bad person by any means, I was a very intelligent, passionate, hard working and living young man that had a drug problem. I was blessed to be given a chance by a judge that saw something in me that I didn't see in myself at the time and was sentenced to the Re-Entry program at Angola where I had the opportunity and the privlidge to meet Justin. During the few years I spent at Angola Justin became one of my closest friends, more like a brother to me. Justin is one of the kindest and most humble people I have ever met in my entire life and the reason we bonded like we did is because we could relate to each other. Justin looked at me like a younger version of himself so he did everything in his power to make me a better person so that I could return to society and live a happy and productive life. Meeting Justin scared me in a way because after I got to know him I realized how similar we really were. I'm no better then Justin and I was one wrong choice from being in the same situation as him(and many others like him). Before I went to Angola I had the misconceived notion that everyone in there deserved to be there because that's what I've been told my entire life. I though everybody that was in Angola was a deranged serial killer, but I couldn't have been more wrong. There are a lot of people like you and I in Angola that are not bad people, they are good hearted people that made a bad choice. I'm not the same person that I was before my incarnation and was only in prison a couple years. Because of SELFLESS people like Justin I am now a happy and productive member of society. There is no doubt in my mind that upon release Justin would be the same way if not more greatful. I know that there is no chance that Justin would ever reoffend and commit another crime.
