I cared for the cats during my time at FIU. Thank you so much to all of the student activists who came after me and did much more than I did. RIP to all of the campus cats whose lives were taken too soon by cruel humans. We need to protect these cats.

There is no reason leash laws shouldn't be enforced in the same way they are anywhere else. With the amount of emphasis the university puts on fostering a safe environment and attracting students to their housing, it is unacceptable for their not to be more due diligence in accepting pets onto campus.

Dogs should be leashed, regardless of their "support" status or not. This innocent cat did not deserve to lose its life. It could be a child or person next.

I am a cat lover, and the fact that a dog, unleashed, did this to Sparkles is disgusting and a disgrace. FIU and the people that owns the dog are responsible.
