We can't afford to have the value of ct unit dropped further. Last year we had to stop fishing early June, this year it will be alot earlier and that's with the unit as is stands now. That is ourselves and 4 other families who will be not able to work.

After 40 years of line fishing I've had to outlay $300,000.00 on additional quota as 30% has been taken from me. We need to keep the quota at the original level.

We support Mr Jay Clark's request to address the Reef Quota Holders Association to put the case of CT Quota Holders and Quota Users in a balanced manner. Fairness and equity for all of the industry ensures a healthy, sustainable fishery for the future.

The boffins in Brisbane that make these decisions should be made to put their name to them, so we can see who they are and who's payroll they are on they are on.They have been pulling these stunts for years.

New to the industry, cant believe the beaurocracy and mismanagement. Looking at last years catch to determine next years catch is like looking at yesterdays weather to see what tomorrow brings. Having people hold quota that don't fish is turning our fishery into an investors market controlled by the money not the fishermen.

I have not seen one decision that would help the viability of a full time Fisherman come out of Brisbane sinice the 1980's. It is now obvious that the Fisheries Department is controlled by WWF

This is the 44th year I have worked in the Fishing Industry with my husband (it's his 48th year as a Commercial Fisher) & have never seen morality so low. What has been done to the Coral Trout quota is a disgrace as this action helps no one other than the investors & is detrimental to Fishers. It is only the "tip of the Iceburg" in regard to the mismanagement of the fishing industry

Malcolm Munro, the quota is scrutinized because virtually anyone from off the street can buy quota and lease it out at a price they choose, it's ridiculous and needs to stop.
