Having read the circulated letter of explanation regarding Coral Trout unit value, I sign this petition in support of the views expressed by Mr. Jay Clark. Further, I urge Fisheries Queensland to make an opportunity available for Mr. Clark to meet in person with the Line Working Group (as a Subject Matter Expert on my behalf) in order to have a proper and justified debate on this critical issue; prior to any new decisions being made for the 2017-18 season. In signing this petition, I state that I have a verifiable interest in the Coral Trout fishery, either as a harvester, quota owner, license holder, vessel owner or processor; or am an adult dependent family member of one of the above. Furthermore, I sign this petition with all rights reserved.

As a trout fisher somethings gotta give our way sometime soon! 7.80 per kg of quota we paid last trip it's nearly not worth catching them! 210 bucks a kilo for a platey at Sydney fish markets we are lucky to get 50 bucks which turns into 42 instantly! It's rubbish

Half the fishing season left and no quota available anywhere, want to keep working but can't justify going to work and throwing back the most valuable product out there. Fish shops are fuming no trout for their customers till next year I guess China will have to get it all instead.

We can't afford to have the value of ct unit dropped further. Last year we had to stop fishing early June, this year it will be alot earlier and that's with the unit as is stands now. That is ourselves and 4 other families who will be not able to work.

After 40 years of line fishing I've had to outlay $300,000.00 on additional quota as 30% has been taken from me. We need to keep the quota at the original level.

We support Mr Jay Clark's request to address the Reef Quota Holders Association to put the case of CT Quota Holders and Quota Users in a balanced manner. Fairness and equity for all of the industry ensures a healthy, sustainable fishery for the future.
