In contradiction of what was reported in the media, the sale of Jet to the TFG is resulting in an estimated job loss of around 60% at a head office level and 30% at a store staff level. In word of the current Jet CE, this is a "cleansing" and we as employees will not stand for it. Our best interests are not being represented in this transaction and we want our voices to be heard. We are being kept in the dark and have given false information on other bidders in this process who are willing to pay more and save more jobs. This injustice must stop!

This is an example of white monopoly capital in full force. The BRPs clearly already had this tied up since day one with TFG. How they decided to grant exclusivity to a non-binding offer when there were 2 other higher offers, is beyond me. Now, the employees and economy suffer just to sustain the stellenbosch mafia.

The sale is not in the best interest of the employees but exutives. No transparency and fairness in the process. If there was a better buyer why were they not considered to reduce the amount of job losses?
