To the court I am writing to you concerning my grandson,Delvon Hamilton.He has grown up in a single parent home his father never being a part of his life. He has always been a good kid never in any. trouble. Helped his mother with his siblings. I have talked to Delvon and he is adamant he was not involved and is innocent of any wrong doing.Prison is not the place for him.He is only 17 and although he is considered an adult in the eyes of the criminal justice system mentally he is still a child,and although he may not have made some good decisions in the past Delvon is still a young man who has time to turn things around Prison won't help him do that.He has associated with the wrong crowd, kids thinking hanging out is in someway the cool things as a lot of teenager think but he is not a criminal.i believe this was his way of trying to fit in.This has opened his eyes to what can happen and I know this is not what he wants.He has a loving supportive family and lots of male cousins that are ready to assist and help him as mentors to keep him on the straight and narrow. I ask your honor don't take his future away because I know he can become a productive member of society if given a chance and the right support system around him. I thank you .
