Clearly the Harris County District Attorney has no compassion for the protection of at risk children. I have no doubt had William been related a relative I'm certain that the result would have been very different.

I would question the education requiements for these paraprofessional aides and their suitability in the field of care where children with Trisomy 21 are concerned. No child should be shaken.This could have had dire consequences in a child with atlanto-axial instability it could have even proved fatal.Sorry but I think gthat she should be charged and made aware of the seriousness of her actions.Why were the parents not told sooner?Was the school trying to cover up the laxity within the staff ?

What an outrage. Get off your ass Texas and prosecute the witch. William, move to Hanover, Ma. My 8 year old boy attends Center school and they just ended his IEP meeting stating "our plans are to partner, assist, educate and understand him. That that is the least restrictive and loving environment we can offer to honor his struggles and efforts to learn. And that's what you do for a person you love." I had to be silent or I would have cried. His IEP is incredible. The staff does love him and I say that without hesitation. Move if you can....it's that important to family preservation and happiness. Sappy but my truth

It is a sad day when the justice system fails this horribly. "no signs or cries of pain/injury." You have a video and eye witness by another teacher. It is child abuse. plan and simple. I pray you and your son get the justice you deserve.

This is disgraceful in a so called civilised country. You have a staff witness and video evidence. She is guilty of assault and should be charged so that she can never do it again.
