if we don't get together and stop this our children will keep being a punching bag for psychologically disturbing peopleat my daughter school we have same problem independent never was told about the abuse only to come and pick up their child this is happening December 2014 only came outA week ago please sign this petition is important for this little boy for my daughter and for every single child on the cannot defend their selves

It takes a certain kind of ignorance to think abusing a silent victim is even remotely acceptable or excusable. It is not and unless there are substantial consequences to the perpetrator, differently abled persons will continue to be ostracized and marginalized in a society that should treasure them and lift them up.

The act is abuse, physical and otherwise. Also if nothing was reported until 8 days later, of course any signs have probably faded. No excuse. If no charges are given, that is just telling the world it is okay to abuse children as long as they are unable to report it in sentences to everyone. Saddening and insulting. (parent of child with Down Syndrome)

The DA needs to take this case. William may be nonverbal but justice should be served to show people that they can't push these kids around. That teachers aside was probably thinking that the fact that he Is nonverbal that she could get away with it. She needs to know that she can't. He may not have physical signs but I assure you that mentally this child will carry this forever in his mind.

It is not ok to treat any child like this. As the mother of a child who is differently able and was abused in school, I do not think those who were supposed to protect the child did their job. I think all those involved, should be held to be accountable through crime charges. Shame on the state for not prosecuting.

I'm sure if the DA's child was abused in the manner things would be different. The video needs to be released and presented before a judge and jury!! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!

D.A. seems to be deferring to a given legal standard here, SEC 22.04 of the TPC to be specific. Ther may not be much that can be done for this specific case however it's worth noting that D.A.s AND School boards are elected... reminding them of that fact might apply the right pressure.

That aide MUST be charged. That is so beyond reasonable. My son is non-verbal and also has Down syndrome. If something like that ever happened to him I would expect the full extent of the law to be in force.

Something should be done. She was in charge of helping him and to instead hurt him. It's rediculous that no charges are being filed. plus the school should have notified his parents immediately.
