Coach Colosimo made the correct decision to not continue the game. The treatment of the Valley Sports Teams with racial slurs is nothing new but frankly it is time to put a stop to this behavior. That means it is the responsibility of all coaches, teachers, school administrations to work with their students make them understand this is not what sportsmanship is about!!! in 2017 this should NOT be happening. Tired of Valley being singled out!!

We all need to stand up for what's right and wrong. Racial slurs and spitting in peoples faces are not okay. I hope the school board backs it 's coach and awesome players.

School District should not let anyone to any of our sports. When we all know what really happened. This is not the first time Elwood has done this to other teams. Maybe it is the only way the can win games . Remember O tolerance for all bullies policy

I am signing this petition because of what I personally saw go down that Friday night. It was not right for both sides, but only one side is getting punished. #justiceforvalley

Valley is and has always been better than what the media portrays. It's about time we stood up and protected our kids, our Alma Mater, and the overall integrity of our community. Valley does not deserve to be punished for defending their morals, character, and fellow teammates/ classmates from being demoralized and de-humanized by an opposing team. How long could any of you stand there and be calm while you're being degraded with racial slurs? A few seconds? A few minutes? "Walk away from it" and ignore it? What if you couldn't. It's just there, in your face for nearly 4 quarters of a football game and you have to stand there and take it? There comes a point in time where you need to address some things head on and in this case it was our boys defending one another from being subjected to anymore belittling racial comments. These are young men standing up for what was right. They protected eachother from anymore demeaning nonsense and that alone is something to be proud of. Once a Valley Viking, always a Valley Viking, and we demand justice for our kids!

Completely unacceptable. The away team initiated the confrontation and our coach decided to look out for his teams safety by ending the game early. He should be commended for his actions!

It should be both teams getting punished or neither of them.
