I'm disgusting at the actions of the students at Elwood City, and at the actions of WPIAL. I hope Valley comes out on top!

I was at the game. My nephew was one of the Valley PLAYERS suspended... for standing up for himself and his friend. He was spat on and called racial slurs.

Valley coach did right thing for safety of his players. Racial remarks should have no part of any part of life, especially in a high school sports venue. Shame on WPIAL officials for their stance of requiring Valley's coach resign or lose a playoff spot.

As a public institution,a full and complete accounting of what transpired should conducted by a neutral third-party and shared. I want to know why the coach refused to continue, the rationale behind the disproportiknate penalty. I am grateful for my education from Valley (‘91) and as an alum remain vested in the institution and desire answers.

What is happening to the Valley High football team is wrong. And to demand the coach to be suspend for not finishing the game is a joke. How about doing something against the Ellwood coach's for their behavior abd the behavior of their players. Valley was defending themselves.. You shouldn't punish one and not the other.

Elwood City had a track record of this demeaning behavior. If I spit in someone's face I will be charged. If I punch someone beyond the scope of a tackle I will be charged. The No word flying was rude but not illegal. Not to mention a full week prior to the game cyber bullying. First the officials did nothing, Ellwood City coaches did nothing. Valley Vikings coach in this case would have been better off forfeiting the game at least these young men would he have been able to walk away with their dignity. Why put these kids through this if the results are the same. They should have been pulled off that field with the first drop of spit. So who are the uncultured, less than civilized students and sportsmen? These Valley kids endured more than I would have permitted. So who stands up for them! Talk about systematic racism?

I'm a HHS grad but had many Valley friends. Profiling violece and bullying should never be a part of our beloved A K Valley. As Valleys rival team for a long time we "battled for the bridge" but hate was not in the equation. Ellwoods behavior is inexcusable.

It's time as a community to stand for something! It's sad that it takes these type of events to happen for us to stand as a community. We All need to do our part on a continuous basis to show that we're more than just a opportunist community. I stand for Valley but not just for Today !!!!

If you suspend 1 then should be both what a mess these governing bodies are anymore. The officials should have stopped this in the beginning and warned both of the teams but as I have seen in other sports and heard no consistency among any sports right now.

He is an awesome coach and it's a shame that he has to take the fall for for all the ignorance and bigotry that happened that night.
