The authorities have officially moved forward with the charges we sought in the case of Terry Todd Jr. This outcome validates the persistence shown by everyone who refused to look away from this injustice. We will continue to monitor the proceedings closely as the legal process moves toward a resolution.
This petition is to express the disgust that we feel for the handling of the Terry Todd Jr. Motorcycle case. We feel that due to the failure of the individual who rear ended Terry to control his car at all times, that this individual should be brought up on charges as the law appropriates.
Terry would be alive today had the driver behind him been following the law and keeping a SAFE distance. He was an amazing young man who would drop everything to help anyone that asked. For his death to go unpunished is unacceptable. It honestly makes me wonder who this person was related to or friends with in law enforcement.

Very negligent on the auto driver. It is the motorists job to watch and keep safe distance between themselves and other motorists. Terry was making a turn and the other driver should have given him the room due to the multiple lanes on that stretch of road way.

The driver of this car is responsible and needs to be charged! Saying it's the motorcyclists fault for not wearing a helmet is total crap. That's like justifying shooting someone & not pressing charges because the victim wasn't wearing a bullet proof vest.

If a child had ran out in front of him, and wasn't wearing a helmet, would the driver be charged? If he couldn't see a motorcycle with 2 large flags waving in the wind, how would he have ever seen a child? Waiting to find out the name and connection the driver of the SUV has with the Prosecutor.

This is inexcusable! A good man was killed. I have seen him ride with his flags and you can see him from afar. I drove home from work that night at the same time and I didn't kill anybody. This action by the prosecutor reeks of poor judgement.
Not even a ticket??? really??

Michigan law if you rear end someone you are at fault! You are driving to close and not allowing yourself enough time to stop. The law needs to be followed and no more excuses being made. You were distracted and your negligence killed my brother! Period!

The car driver needs to be charged with not being in control of her vehicle. So anyone who has the sun in their eyes can plow into another vehicle and blame the sun?
