It was a harmless prank ! He is a outstanding student I am a grandmother almost 70 and my children and grandchildren have graduated pennsbury school it is s good district don’t punish this young man for a harmless prank that did no damage to the school

The punishment is too harsh. Let him speak! My son brought the letter home and we had a laugh over it - yes, it’s inappropriate for HS but it’s very funny and extremely well written! Most importantly, no one got hurt by it.

This punishment does not fit the crime, Stevens is a top scholar and an active participant in extra curriculars. C'mon Pennsbury, don't do this!!!!!

lighten up, administration!! i understand a suspension but taking away his ability to speak at graduation seems to not match up with the mistake he made. with everything going on in the world, I think a harmless funny prank really isn’t all that bad. I see why he would get in trouble but I’m sure he’s worked extremely hard on this graduation speech! #freesteve

Considering all of the school shootings and all of the harmful things that go on in schools these days.......seriously? This is an innocent prank. Oh my goodness.......let him speak. He deserves it. He earned it and he took a harmless approach to a Senior Prank.

i am appalled and angered by this response - this was a silly and harmless prank. it made me laugh. it made my daughter laugh. it feels almost sweet, when thinking about alternatives. the school's response is excessive and inappropriate.

As people are always saying kids will be kids. Not aware of what Steven did in this prank. But if no damage was done and no physical harm to anyone then you as administrators are going a bit over board. He excels at classes. He’s earned the right to speak to his class. Perhaps he can add something to his speech to enfesize his mistake.
