I cant count the number of times Steven practiced reading his speech to me in school while preparing for the opportunity to present his speech to the judges. He worked diligently to create an entertaining but moving speech that would truly go to waste if not heard by those attending graduation. Please sign and help us try to get Steve’s speech back on and send our class of 2018 off in the absolute best way possible #FreeBigSteve

This was a senior prank that did no real harm to anyone. Sure some punishment might have to be carried out , but this is too severe.

Shame on you. This prank could have involved vandalism. It could have created danger to the students or others.
It did none of that. It was harmless. This is a decision that can only be called foolish.

As a district employee I personally feel that the punishment considered does not fit the harmless crime. I also worked with Stephan years ago at summer camp and can attest to the fact that he was a good kid when I knew him. (My opinion in the matter was formed before I found out it was a student I knew so it is objective based on the prank and consequences proposed)
