As far as I can tell, this punishment is asymmetrical. I don't take issue with the 1 day suspension, but did he do something beyond everyone else that merits the additional sanction?

This is a funny prank. The district should have a sense of humor when the prank is completely harmless as this one was.

I believe that the "offense" was clearly intended as a prank. No one was hurt, either physically or emotionally. Prohibiting Steven from speaking at graduation is an entirely unfair and unwarranted punishment. I urge the administration to reconsider, and allow Steven to speak at graduation.
