I too have had many different breeds of dogs with cats snd they would pursue strange cats also and in fact one of my dogs (weimeraner) fatally injured a neighbours cat that came on our property yet he sleeps with our cat. Unfortunate but normal dog behaviour! Unreasonable punishment! I would be devastated but understand if my cat ventured onto another property with dogs and was injured.

The world is made up of two types of people...those that love the Bull Terrier breed...and those that don't know the Bull Terrier breed. Good luck to you and your gorgeous Peppa

These are not dangerous dogs for I have 2 which have never shown aggression. They are very misinterpreted.

Were the cats locked up?
I believe the double standard here is at fault as much as your poor puppy is.
I really feel foy you.

So sad, all my dogs have been brought up with cats...but would still chase a strange cat. I've had everything from a bully to a border collie....they are all just dogs after all

As an animal lover i feel for both parties, this is an unfortunate event but i dont think this is fair. Animals will be animals but i think the family should only recieve a warning :(

This seems extremely harsh for a first offence.

whilst extremely sad about the cats clearly this was an unusual circumstance and isolating dogs generally makes them less social and therefore potentially more aggressive. please leave this dog's control in the hands of her obviously loving committed family.

Don't make Peppa a dangerous dog because she was doing nothing more then acting like a dog. It is her natural instinct & prey drive - she is in no way a dangerous dog.

Many dogs chase cats. Just like cats chase birds, it is nature. I have a dog like this & know of many more & all are good with kids & other animals. It is unfortunate for the cats & their owners but this does not class them as a dangerous dog. I'm sure the owners will make sure this dreadful situation will occur again.

Councils will do anything to earn a quick buck! Fight them like we did! We won and cost them money in the end!!
