They actually listened and finally changed the protocols so this nightmare stops for other families. I am still shaking typing this because honestly I never thought justice would come but it did and it is all because of you.

On March 25th 2018, both of our sweet beloved pit bulls were gunned down, and inhumanely killed by police officers. Bleu and Cashmere were known as sweet, kind, and playful dogs all over our community and many others. We as pet owners, animal lovers, and defenders of those without a voice must come together in order to end this epidemic of police brutality against animals. It saddens us to say that the individuals we entrust to protect our community and all that resides within it, would display such blatant acts of violence and bestiality. Although this has been a heart- breaking and traumatizing event, we want to use this experience to prevent this from happening to other animals and families. Our dogs were stereotyped because of their breed, and unnecessarily lost their lives. Please join us in seeking justice and taking a stand for the lives of our furry friends Bleu and Cashmere.

I keep staring at the screen because I really did not think this would gain so much ground so quickly. It feels like people are finally starting to see the pain behind what happened to Bleu and Cashmere and that honestly makes me feel a little less alone in all this chaotic grief I have been carrying around.

Let animal control do their job and if they can not use proper escalation of force. These dogs did not have to die. Penalize the owners for letting the dogs free (which was not even the case here), never the dogs.
Owners of the pitbulls, im sorry for your loss. Im a pitbull owner myself andbi kove the breed. The breed of pitbull isnt a problem, the problem is Others meaning pedestrian, when they make ANY dog nervous, dogs will start to protect themselves But doesnt mean to KILL someone pet. Im sorry..

I am a huge supporter of first responders and highly value the work they do everyday! Please do not shoot an animal if owners or animal control is present. Any animal will be aggressive when approached by people other than its owners.
What has occured to these beautiful animals is unjust and should be recognized as an injustice to the community. Not only for the sake of the families and the dogs, but also the residents and civilians surrounding the incident. 2 dogs killed in cold blood in broad day light
I am for all pets that enhance the quality of life.

I am so sorry!! We have an American bull dog who is just the sweetest thing and I worry that would do the same to him. My heart breaks for you all
