BRING BACK MR. LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He does so much for us!

Mr. Long was the sole person who helped me gather the necessary documentation I needed when I had to SOAP and eventually scramble. He went out of his way several times, even working from home to assist me! He is all about seeing Meharry students prosper and succeed.

Mr. Long provided much needed student support. He was undeniably reliant and unfailingly accessible. His termination is a direct insult to the MMC SOM & its students.

Mr. Long is a pivotal faculty for the SOM. He’s done so much for the students. Preclerkship- role with quizzes and test going smoothly. Etc. Clerkship- on boarding with rotations. I feel like he’s role was important for student success.

Mr. Long has been one of the most impactful staff at Meharry during my time as a student. He worked nonstop to ensure my 4th went seamless and smooth. His email response time has always been quick and his task follow-ups are always efficient. He deserves to stay. He is invaluable to the student experience.

Mr.Long was someone every student could count on no matter the situation. We need to keep him and find more administrators like him!

Mr. Long is the motor that keeps Meharry running. Between applications, registration, and just being a shoulder to cry on, Mr. Long is ESSENTIAL to Meharry’s success. Bring him back!!!

Mr. Long is vital to student success and is committed, respectful, accessible.

I am advocating for someone who both silently and publicly advocates for us. He needs to stay on facility, even if in a different position. And if not, he needs more-than-a-business-day advance notice so that he can prepare for his next transition. Moreso, he needs to train the next person on how to do his current 3-4 jobs. This is actively burning bridges with people who have sacrificed for Meharry. This will not make us stronger, it only builds chaos. Let’s live by our motto and show better service to mankind.

There’s a reason why every year, there are so many students who thank Mr. Long on Match Day. He is literally Mr. GetItDone. Throughout my 4 years at Meharry, Mr. Long has been the one and only person I felt like I could truly go to, for advice, guidance, and assistance. If he doesn’t know the answer, he gets things sent to the right person to alleviate the issue. He’s always a call away and makes sure every student’s needs are met. Beyond that, he actually CARES about the students. He is a shoulder to lean on, he always has an encouraging word, and he takes time out of his day to pray with us when we are going through hard times. Please, reconsider this decision. Mr. Long’s impact on this student body is vast and our genuine love and appreciation for him runs deep. He has helped many of us (current students and also alumni) reach the heights we are at now.
