What the commitee have done is wrong. Moulana should be reinstated immediately. Who and what are the members thinking of by sacking moulana, as they havent thought about the community and how moulana has benefited our community along with our children. I believe the secretary should resign before anyones sacking. How can an AGM be stalled for so long, members need to take their position seriously its become a joke. The reason given was a finance issue but no one believes this excuse. All the money spent so far on unnecessary projects and they cant afford moulanas wages. So sacking moulana if its a finance issue im assuming no one else will be hired for his position or are they going to get some no educated moulana so his wage fits in with the finance issue. Members really need to take a look at them selves and realise what they are doing is wrong, upsetting the community and having no consistency for our children you are hurting our youth. This is not going to be brushed under the carpet. Chairman, secretary and members need to hold a meeting and answer our community members questions and stop hiding!

It was heart breaking when sheik Owais made the announcement after the jumma byan .what is going on within masjid's committee whenever we get an intellectual sheikh they get rid of them. prime example sheikh sadeeq was dismissed now sheikh Owais who have done so much for the youth and the community. is there no one to challenge theses clowns within the committee. Please wake up don't forget you are running house of ALLAH SWT not a corner shop.

Please reinstate Sheikh. The community need him. Surely there can be some financial assistance extended seeing as how well liked he is? It's disheartening that it all comes down to "financial constraints." Is this the truth though? Why does no English speaking Imam last in our community? Is it all a huge coincidence? The community demand an explanation for the choices made - this masjid is Allah's house and decisions made should reflect this obvious fact. Regardless of who owns the masjid the community's needs should come first. The Imam serves the people at large he doesn't just lead salah. His desire to help people should surely count for something in this decision.

Ml Ouwais needs to return as a imam of masjid-e-noor. He knows what is happening and is thinking 10 years ahead of the time. As far as I am aware, he has started classes and programmes which have never taken place before. Also bearing in mind that Jumuah salat is taking place at colleges & universitys because of his efforts. jzk

I don't agree with the committee decision at all, it is disgraceful what they are doing, maulana Owais is a great teacher for us and also our children

I would like to say it's unfair what the commitee is doing. When is it going to stop when an Imam or Maulana doesn't agree with them they drive them out why. This is a new era and we need some1 with a strong mind and a passion to make change. If we stick with the committee decisions we'l be going back decades. We need to make a stand an say STOP, ENOUGH is ENOUGH! 2ndly why don't we just get a NEW commitee instead! Dats food for thought

Although I disagree with the decision to terminate MI Ouwais' role as he has been a positive and driving force in our community especially for us young people,I disagree with people using this opportunity to attack members on what comes across as personal problems they may have with them. The efforts of our elderly has established our masjid so I feel uncomfortable with some of the comments on here. The issues with community could have been sensetively and in a more dignified manner.

it is extremely upsetting to witness what has happened to MI. Ouwais and hopefully this petition gives a voice that has an effect for those whose opinions are usually never heard. I also agree with brother Shiraz. The committee needs an influx of young blood to take charge to bring forth new ideas and fresh impetus to handle the affairs of the Masjid through the next era

Committee should think bout the large diverse community that attend the Masjid & a imam, such as Moulana Ouwais, can cater for them. Sadly to say I think this is a personal agenda, which is incorrect. The large diverse community needs to to be at the for front of the minds before making any decisions such as this. The committee needs to charge, these oldies who have old school thoughts need to be out. Masjid Noor needs fresh young blood in.

I agree with the aforementioned commentso from brother Ebrabim. It is sad to see such an influential individual treated so unfairly. Justice will prevail inshallah with the reinstatement of the respected molana owais sab.
