This is the very same city that celebrated a community of blue collared families and families who have worked hard for their businesses in a 2015 Disney film that pulled heartstrings around the world. This film highlighted hardworking men and woman who demonstrated what it is to both raise a family, make a living and live the American Dream. It's sounds as if the McFarland City Counsel has gone TOO over commercial in their negotiations and are taking advantage of those same types of people that they once took pride in. I hope they rethink this through and give a hardworking man a fair chance to continue what he has worked so hard for.

There is an empty dirt lot next to the Fay Yin restaurant use that area for extra parking. Why close a business that generates money for the city. Next city election we have to vote these city officials out.

It is a shame that a city would take advantage of a family owned business and not give Mr. Ballesteros what his business and land is truly worth. A fair resolution would be to relocate his business on the city expense in an equal or better parcel so his business can continue to thrive and serve this community as it has for 20 plus years.
