This shows a person protecting others. It encourages other thieves to know they can get away with it. Appalling dicision

I am surprise at the harshness of this decision. Somewhat put me off shopping at Sainsbury's now.

Throughout the years of shopping at New Cross Gate Sainsburys, I have always chosen to go to Mark's till as he has always been friendly, helpful and polite. It's a disgrace that he has been dismissed from his position. I will no longer be shopping in this branch.

I was shocked to hear about Mark's treatment by Sainsbury's. He has always been such an ambassador for the company, pity there aren't a few more of your staff with his commitment and customer service!!!! Definitely shopping at elsewhere now.

Mark Costello has been a loyal and consciencious employee of Sainsburys for nearly 20 years. Being so popular with many of the regular customers, I fail to see the justice of how he can be dismissed as a result of one uncorroborated incident. Where a stock comment of his has been misinterpreted, misquoted & used as the basis for this miscarriage. This either smacks of pure discrimination against a disabled man or constructive dismissal.

Justice for Mark! Very unfair dismissal for a lovely man . The comments claimed he made is all nonsense . Have stopped shopping in Sainsbury's in protest.

I cannot believe that a large company such as Sainsburys would be so unfeeling to dismiss Mark. He has enough problems without losing his job, which he has done for 19 years. I thought it was illegal to discriminate against disabled people. Think again Sainsburys !!!!

Something here does not add up. Sainsburys definitely out of order.

I was very upset at the treatment Mark has received from the Management of Sainsburys. I know Mark to be an honest and truthful young man and feel there has been a dreadful mistake here, but mistakes can be rectified.

This is very strange. Was this a first issue or culmination of something else. I assume you have good records confirming the alleged transgression indeed happened.

Mark was always very chatty and polite to me. It's very sad that he is no longer there.

Mark is / was great with customers and I certainly miss not seeing him in the store. As someone who believes in diversity , I was always pleased that Sainsbury employed people who were not 'neurotypical'. Shame on you Sainsbury, you have really let yourselves down.

Sainsburys where is your evidence ? Mark has always supported your organisation. Perhaps a little support in return. I'm off to Tesco.

Mark is a lovely chap and was an asset to Sainsburys. Why have you summarily sacked him. It's a disgrace.
