I think what happened could of definitely been prevented if he didn’t get a cash bail and was held without bail

I've personally experienced a Domestic Violence issue, the person was charged with 8 felony counts of stalking and 8 felony counts of violating a restraining order... Just to have the sentencing judge throw it all out of court.

This was a tragedy that could have been avoided. A beautiful soul gone too soon and needlessly.

The victim should have been notified. I have family that worked as an officer of the law, contact should have been made to the victim. This is disgustingly gross negligence, and in light of the events that followed, absolutely NO ONE can claim there was not a history or a threat to the victim. Shame on you, shame on the system. Absolutely DISGUSTING DISPLAY OF PISS POOR NEGLIGENCE

This girl did not deserve this and the justice system should be held accountable of the outcome.

Crazy to let a habitual DV criminal walk at any amount of money with his history and last charges! Please make a DV criminal registry like pedophile registry. Take DV more serious! I could go on and on..

He never should have been let out. If he was not let out on bail she would still be alive today. So awful

People who are have continuously been accused of violent crimes should not be let out on bail, especially not a low bail like 5,000

I agree 100% on this it could've been prevented. It's been happening alot dangerous people getting less of a sentence and being let go only go hurt someone. And a restraining order is only a piece of paper. Cops won't do a thing until someone gets hurt. So it's not only on this judge but it's on cops as well

This could have easily been prevented had the courts taken this case seriously. A judges job is to keep people safe.

As a domestic violence survivor myself, I urge -- no, I BEG-- our lawmakers to take notice. We've got to figure out how to keep victims safe.

For too long the north country has brushed domestic violence under the rug and actually made it harder for the victims to find peace, too many woman have died when it could’ve been prevented. Enough is enough, it’s just sad that it’s taken this long and we’ve lost so many
