I’m outraged that this judge went against even the prosecutions recommendation. You should definitely resign so you can’t have anymore blood on your hands.

Judge Stephanie Johnson made a foolish and dangerous judgment call when her ruling made it possible for a violent criminal, Michael Gleason, to be released on just $5000 bail. Doing so resulted in a senseless tragedy – the violent death of a beautiful young woman who was beloved in this community. We must call for the termination of judges whose concern for the "rights" of the criminal overshadow the need for society to be protected from dangerous criminals. Stephanie Johnson must resign!

We cannot tolerate victims being put second to accommodate criminals. "Soft on crime" does no good - it needs to stop. And those that have had/do have positions of power that make decisions to put the public in danger need to be held accountable. Resignation isn't good enough. But it's a start.

My best friend was also murdered by her husband who then took his own life 7 years ago. Unbelieveable that with the circumstances presented, that this man was given bail! Someone should be held accountable for allowing this!!

I am signing this for the fact I have current dv & stalking order against my ex, who has been released twice from Coos County jail, is currently in Coos county for breaking the order for a 3rd time, that will be going in front of the judge on July 23 2025. Things need to be stricter. Michael Gleason should NEVER been released.
