It's very sad, that students who are willing to have a future and attend school to lose their lives by the pressure the school is putting on them to be on time. If the school wants their students to be on time atleast provide more security and lights for a clear vision to have them protected and safe.

Me as a mother had me so terrified when I seen this young boys body laying on the street. I was so worried I texted my son to make sure he made it to school as well as my son being a senior just breaks my heart. My prayers to the family

I drop my child off everyday and witness how dark it is and the Aldine cops just sitting in their cars or chatting with other officers, I'm guessing that is the supervision the kids have. Something needs to be done.

R.I.P Jose All my condolences go to Jose's family. Rushing to go to school to not get D-hall it's ridiculous and assuring punishment. Rushing in the morning can lead to serious accidents. No family should lose their son or daughter for trying to hurry to school so they won't get D-Hall for 2 extra hours. Totally unfair. Things should get done immediately to prevent fatal accidents like this.May God bless his family and his friends #JUSTICEFORJOSE

This rule is ridiculous...one minute late and you have to stay 2 hours...I have to agree with some people that is bullying
