Most people learn as children to appreciate the consequences of their actions on other people. Some people don't. Some people only learn to care about the consequences of their actions if they themselves suffer those consequences, and until a person like that does learn, other people will continue to suffer the consequences for them. As reluctant as I am to wish ill toward a person I don't know, this person needs to understand, one way or another, that his choices have consequences, and if destroying others' lives isn't enough motivation for him to make wiser choices, he needs other motivation. He apparently did not learn that as a child, which means he will have to learn it as an adult, or we will all be at risk of suffering the consequences of his choices. In short, what if my son, daughter, or grandson is the next person to pay the price? Or my friend, or neighbor? Who deserves those consequences?

I am flabbergasted at the injustice of this entire situation. How in the world are you going to just let this drunk driver walk without even pursuing legal justice?! I have been directly effected by a very similar situation and my uncle was left disabled by a drunk driver and the long term affects of chronic pain from the nerve damage he sustained eventually caused him to take his own life 25 years after his accident. At least my uncle got his justice before he left this world. Don’t leave James disabled AND robbed!

Reckless disregard for human life should be punished to the maximum allowed by law! The offender should be held responsible as he made the choice to drive drunk and did not have insurance. He was driving the wrong way and all 3 offenses should have already been dealt with along with attempted vehicular manslaughter!!

As a person whose family has been affected by the actions of a drunk driver who also got away with it, stop letting them get away with it and maybe less peoples’ lives will be devastated.

The man definitely needs to be arrested,so he doesn't hurt someone else. Look what he has done to a young man's life by driving like that.
