I am greatly disturbed that filing for multiple extensions has some how made Justice not worth pursuing for James Dupler. This case needs reinstated now as it holds important ramifications on what character is expected of our Indiana citizens. It needs to be discussed in schools about the dangers of drunk driving. People need to know when you try to lie your way out of trouble, you get in worse trouble in the end... and you may actually kill your friend in the process. Coming clean and doing the right thing after a mistake should be the expectation. Dropping this case supports the exact opposite: it's ok to disregard another human life if you are scared it will get you in trouble, and you might get away with it completely if you lawyer up well. No thank you! That is not ok. Please make this right by opening the case! The evidence supports James's innocence through the injuries sustained, the phone records, and the contradictory statements. Open this case, please, and let Justice prevail.

This is why we are having confrontation and no trust for Judicial system. The fact the father being involved with legal system and was called before 911 gives people reason to doubt the Kaplan statements each time he contradicted himself. Jury trial only sure way for decision. It should have been done long before 3 years shows the lack of compassion for deceased and his family and you would think Kaplan’s would want sons name cleared IF he was not guilty.
