I have known and worked with the Duplers for more than 20 years, and I have kids near the same age. This situation breaks my heart.

Facts and evidence must be presented and the Kaplans must be judged by a jury of their peers. Prosecutor must man up or step down.

This case needs reopened and heard in public court. Dropping charges was cowardly

This is terrible, justice has NOT been served. Sounds like a privileged kid with a rich daddy getting him out of trouble.

I am a Marion county resident now but was a Boone County resident for 12 years and actually knew both families for many years. This should go to trial and should be a slam dunk case against Jack and his father, the evidence should be undeniable. This is so unjust if the Dupler family does not get to know that Jack is being tried for this crime. Please help make this right! Show the Boone county residents and all people that we can count on our appointed officials and the law.

If you go back and watch the news clips that aired immediately after the crash, it seems impossible to disregard the initial investigation findings last minute. This really does appear that someone knew the right people and some favors were done. We need transparency. Or we all need equal treatment and access to knowing the right people to get our own crimes dropped. This reeks of injustice, corruption and cover up. Or a really awful initial investigation. Which is true?

We need justice not only for James but also for Jack and his father. They will live in their own dark prison cell for life if justice is not served.

Jeanne Dupler McMains (James' aunt) is a very close friend of mine. James' death has been so difficult for his family. He deserves justice. It is unfathomable that these changes were dropped.
