Reinstate Mr. Scott! Inspiring teacher who engages well with students. Its teachers like Mr. Scott that has influenced my passions as a current High School Teacher. PS. Everyday is Earth Day!

One of the best teachers I had the pleasure and challenge to learn from in an educational career that led me to an MBA. He connects with students. He cares. He’s one of the reasons I was successful in academia.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about Mr Acott from his pupils he has taught over the years, I think what is happening to him is terrible

Doug must be reinstated. Removing him from his teaching position is unfair and unjust. Most importantly it is completely unwarranted.

Doug is an excellent teacher, and the District overlooking the facts of how this came to pass with no due process is unconscionable.

Mr. Scott is the best Science teacher there is. I had him for 2 years and I was his TA as well. He has a big heart in teaching his students.

Mr. Scott deserves to get justice. He is a great teacher and deserves to be treated as such!!! Without him who’s going to teach kids about earth because he actually cares instead of it being just because he’s getting a paycheck! Without him kids won’t actually care about saving this earth that so badly needs it !!!

Mr Scott was done if the best teachers I ever had. I still remember his enthusiasm for science as if it was yesterday. Class of 1997.

Doug Scott is the most passionate teacher I've ever had the pleasure of being educated by. His enthusiasm in the classroom is infectious and I pray that my daughter will be fortunate enough to encounter an educator with such drive

The absolute best teacher I’ve ever had. Not only did he inspire a love of science in me, he instilled a value I use everyday as a Senior leader with 22 years in the active Army; being passionate about the subject taught.

Mr Scott is a passionate Science Teacher who has a unique ability to reach students where others can’t or won’t. His place is in the classroom and should be reinstated immediately.

It is my understanding that the Board is in the process of terminating Doug Scott’s employment as a science teacher at College Park High School. I am writing to you today to add my voice to the public record as one in support of Mr. Scott and against terminating his position as a teacher. I graduated from College Park High School in 1999, and had Mr. Scott for biology and physiology during my time at College Park HS. Mr. Scott was the single most influential force in my decision to pursue a career in science, and I know this is true for many, many students. I strongly urge you to reconsider his termination. Of every teacher I had during my K-12 years, there are four that have really made an impact on my life, and that I still think about today. Doug Scott (Mr.Scott) is one of those four. My home life during high school was tumultuous and chaotic. I had several teachers express concern for my academic performance, yet they provided little actual support or encouragement to excel. Mr. Scott was not one of those teachers. He was genuinely excited about the material he was presenting, found unconventional and creative ways to communicate science concepts to adolescents, and was particularly skilled at reaching students that other teachers or school administrations might consider "at risk", including me. I can think of several examples of how he nurtured a love of science in me. I recall Mr. Scott’s lively sections and appreciate how his genuine love of science and the environment piqued my interest as a developing citizen of the world. His creativity in identifying “teachable moments” is demonstrated in taking advantage of a cell diorama gone awry. We were assigned a project to create a diorama of a cell with all its parts clearly labeled. I chose to make mine from Jell-O, with each cell part made from a different food suspended within the Jell-o “cytoplasm”. I kept forgetting to take my diorama home once the project was graded, and eventually small patches of
