Mr. Scott was a wonderful teacher, some of the only things I retained in high school were from his class. He made me want to go to school each day to see what he had up his sleeve of never disappointing teaching lessons. He must stay a teacher, for not only the future youth, but for educating the future youth on how to love and save this planet. Anything I can do to help him I will.

Mr. Scott is the best teacher CP has. He is inspiring and down to earth. His dismissal would be a big fat blemish on the mdusd.

I had Mr. Scott freshman year for Earth Science. He was a great teacher keeping the climate of the classroom fun. He was fair too. He made himself approachable to the students if they needed any help. Still one of my favorite teachers. Any student is lucky to have had him as a teacher.

Doug Scott is an amazing individual and teacher. It is wrong to stop him from doing what he does best.... TEACHING!

He's seriously the only science teacher that I ever learned anything from. I even signed up for him senior year because I knew I would receive and obtain real knowledge from him. He's a passionate individual which shows in his teaching.

Mr. Scott was the single most passionate teacher I have EVER had, high school or college. I have retained more information from my two classes with him then any other class. Mr. Scott instilled in me a love for science and a love for Mother Earth that no other teacher has come close to even attempting to do. His teaching methods may not be traditional, but that does not make him a bad teacher or a bad person. In fact, it makes him a more effective teacher, at school and in LIFE. To lose Doug Scott as a teacher is an injustice to future students and a slap in the face of his former students. To attempt to strip him of his teaching credentials is a hit below the belt. EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY

I’ve known Doug Scott since 1984, he is an amazing person. He’s gentle and caring and very genuine. For you to be taking away his passion of teaching is truly ridiculous. The students will be losing a great teacher.

Never had him as a teacher, but always heard great things about him. He was one of the reasons why I took Earth Science my Junior year. Hopefully this petition works, it would be a great loss to lose such an amazing teacher.

Mr. Scott was one of the most effective and memorable teachers of all my school years. I graduated with a 3.9 gpa and was into the arts but he made science relatable and dare I say fun! I know his methods are unusual but he is a true teacher of knowledge. Kids need this to keep them interested in learning. Please keep Mr. Scott teaching for future generations of impressionable students like me. Thank you

Mr Scott is a fantastic teacher. He has unconventional methods, but they are beyond effective. He was the only teacher that was able to explain biology to be in a way I could understand it. He is an asset to college park, and should be given a raise, rather than terminated. I seriously question the leadership abilities of the faculty at this school now.

Mr. Scott was the most pationate high school teacher I have ever had, so much so that I TA’d for him and learned more about geology than I ever would have without him.
