Heads up MDUSD, as GOAT Aretha Franklin sings: You better THINK - THINK about what you're doing. This is complete BS!!! Doug Scott isn't just an ordinary teacher; he's an extraordinary educator!!! Yes, I'm biased in my opinion; I birthed three now adult children who were all blessed to LEARN from Mr. Scott while at CPHS. Oh yeah all 3 graduated with honors and all 3 believe Mr. Scott taught them to think for themselves and own their beliefs and opinions. A very rare attribute amongst CPHS Teachers employed circa Y2K. Justice NOW for Mr. Scott!

Mr. Scott was an exemplary teacher who encouraged students to think creatively and get inspired by science. His enthusiasm was infectious and it would be a shame for future students to miss out on the lessons that Mr. Scott provided. We are rooting for you Doug!

Mr. Scott was the most influential, charismatic, and passionate teacher I've ever had the pleasure of being in a classroom with. His absence is a great disservice to the students of College Park

Mr. Scott was one of the most engaging and inspiring teachers I had at College Park. He truly cared about his students then (I graduated in 1997) and I don't doubt he does now. I pursued a PhD in immunology and now run a nonprofit that plants community orchards in Philadelphia, growing beautiful green spaces and fresh food, because of my experience in his class. Every day is Earth Day!

It takes a true educator to make a change and this man has done that for many. That’s all that matters!

No other science teacher that my three children had at college park had such an amazing passion for his subject, biology, as Doug Scott!

A grave injustice has been invoked upon Doug Scott. He has been an educator at the same high school for 26 years. How can this be?

Teachers who care, and are as committed as Doug Scott, are rare and to be sought out. This is not just an outrage, but a very sad blot on the education system.
