I have known Doug Scott for over 20 years. I can say without hesitation that he is a good guy and passionate about teaching biology. He knows he is not perfect but he is certainly not being treated with fairness in this matter. There are always 2 sides to every story and both sides deserved to be heard and addressed.

I’ve known Doug Scott since I was 10 years old and we attended Saint Pauls youth group together . Doug is a kind and loving human being with a love of education . We attended Humboldt State University together and studied the sciences. If my child attended college park high school I couldn’t think of a better teacher . I think he’s being judged on his looks and not the substance of his character .

An unjustified and retaliatory termination of Mr. Scott is going to be a major public relations mistake for this school district. Senior district staff need to carefully consider the potential outcomes of such an unjustified action.
